今日のオチ。

暑い日が続くと、キリンも高飛び込み…　したい気持ちは分かる。

オーティス レディング ドック オブ ザ ベイ

いつも使ってるコンデンサマイクが壊れた。　メーカの補償があるので修理に出したのだけど、無事戻ってくるかちと心配。

今回は別のダイナミックマイクで録音してみました。　オーティス死後発表、最大のヒット曲、ドックオブザベイ。　今生きてれば71歳。　26は早すぎる死ですな。

遠く祖国を離れて生活している身としては身につまされる歌。

楽器はいじるの大好きだけど、上手くない。　だから、楽器は演奏せずに適当にMIDIファイルを漁ってはカラオケにしているのだけど、最近ウクレレをいじってると、「おぉ、これくらいなら簡単に弾けるぞ」という曲がいくらかあった。

そのうちの一曲。　ビートルズ リボルバー収録のフォー ノー ワン。

ウクレレの響きに乗せて、悲しい曲を悲しく歌ってみましたが、口笛が苦しい。

遅ればせながら、ようやくエヴァ劇場版Qを見たわけですよ。

まさかねぇ、こういう展開になるとは思ってなかったわな。　

オリジナルTVシリーズが始まったころ、私はすでにシカゴ。　「エヴァンゲリオンって面白いらしいで」ということで、ビデオジャパン閉店後にみんなで集まって大画面で鑑賞会したなぁ。

こてこてソウルの定番。　ノリがいいわな。

学生時代にかなり聞き込んだから、オーティスレディングも体に染みついとるな。　この曲は何といってもボーカルだけになるブレイク。　なに言ってるのかわけわからんながらもずっと歌ってたもんな。

ブラッククロウズもいいけど、やっぱりオーティスだな。

これ、いろんなとこで使われてますな。　私が最初に聞いたのも映画のサントラ。　パルプフィクション？　いやぁ、もっと前だな。　なんだったけか？

それにしても、この曲もしょっちゅう口に出てくる。　しかしこうして録音して聞くと、「原付で60㎞感」があるなぁ。　しょーがない。

エンディングは出来心です。　トゥギャザーでルー大柴とこの曲が連想で出てきたもので。

キャロル姉さんの、「出会った頃はこんな日が来るとは思わずにいた」そんな曲。　よくある恋の終わりソングですな。

この人も時々ふと口に出る曲がいろいろある。　Earth　Move、Natural Woman、So Far Awayなんかは定番シャワーソング。　70年代万歳。

タペストリーが売れる前から、ソングライトを続けた彼女も去年引退宣言しましたね。　うちの母親と同年代だもんなぁ。　お疲れさん。

B.J.トーマス 雨にぬれても

ウクレレをいじってると、この歌が歌いたくなった。　雨の多いシカゴの春にもぴったりだし。

アメリカ、ニューシネマの代表格『明日に向かって撃て！』の主題歌。　この映画、ラストのストップモーションが印象に残る好きな映画だけど、ネットの無かった昔に、『Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid』という原題が分からなくて、ビデオを買うときに難儀した思い出がある。

歌はなんともほのぼのしたポジティブソング。　映画では自転車2人乗りデートのシーンね。　たまには良いわな、こういう曲も。

この曲のもう一つの特徴は、エンディングの展開。　ドリカムの『晴れたらいいね』と似てる。　というか…、まぁねぇ。

この曲はアメリカに来てすぐのころバーガーキングのコマーシャルで使われてて、なかなかキャッチーなので頭に残って離れなかった。　

でも、誰の何という曲かぜーんぜんわからないまま何年も時間が経って、音楽好きの同僚に「ハハハハ　ハ～ハ　ハ　ハ～ハ…　ってなんて曲か判る？」と聞いて教えてもらった。　今ならスマホのアプリかなんかで鼻歌で歌えば、すぐに判るのかな？

スクイーズのベスト盤を借りて聴いたけど、このテンプテッド以外はピンと来る曲は無し。　一発屋さん？　でも、この曲が入ったアルバムはエルビス・コステロがプロデュースしてたんだと。　ふ～ん。

ビートルズがインドでキャンプしたとき、いろんな曲が大量に作られた。　これらをとりとめなくまとめたのがホワイトアルバム。

ヨギの"son of the mother nature"に関する説教に感化され、ポールのMother Nature's SonとジョンのChild of Natureの2曲が出来た。　ポールの曲はホワイトアルバムに選曲され、ジョンの曲はボツ。

昨日、ユーチューブで初めてChild of Natureのデモを聴いたんだけど、まんまJealous Guy。　うむ、Jealous Guyのカラオケで、Child of Nature（←クリックでWAVファイルが開きます）を歌うか。　デモに倣って、ボーカルはダブルトラックにしよう。

子供用にと電子ピアノを買った。

ついでなので、キューベース付きのマイクインタフェイスに、コンデンサマイク、ボーカルエフェクタ等も一緒に買って、DTMなるものを実践しようと考えた。

ネット上で検索するとミディファイルがごろごろ転がってるので、適当にカラオケでも作って歌って遊ぶか。
